3 killed, several injured in serious drunk driving accident

Driving under the influence is never a good idea, and it often results in collisions that leave families without their loved ones. When a driver chooses to be reckless and get behind the wheel drunk or under the influence of drugs, that person is putting him or herself and others at risk. If he or she causes harm, he or she should be held accountable, and you should be able to recoup your expenses and seek compensation.

This crash mirrors the above and has left several families hurting from the deaths and injuries it caused. A driver involved in a crash in Raleigh has been charged with driving while intoxicated following a crash that resulted in the death of three. The news reports that the crash took place at around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 28 when the 22-year-old driver suddenly swerved to the right. As he tried to correct himself, he lost control and went off the left side of the road.

After going off the road, the vehicle impacted a light pole, tree and street sign before overturning. During the crash, two people were ejected. Three people were killed, an 18-year-old, 21-year-old and 22-year-old. Three other people inside the vehicle were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The 22-year-old driver now faces charges including three counts for aggravated felony death caused by motor vehicle, one count for driving while impaired and three counts for aggravated serious injury by motor vehicle. Police have not reported on his blood alcohol concentration at the time of the accident, and they are still investigating what happened that day.
